StackGrade

Terms of service

Last updated: October 1, 2026

These terms apply to the StackGrade website, widget, dashboard and API ("StackGrade"), run by Wes Green. By using StackGrade you agree to them.

What StackGrade is

StackGrade grades public website and email configuration (SPF, DMARC, DKIM, MX, security headers, domain registration, tech stack and hiring signals) using public data sources. Grades and alerts are informational. They can be incomplete or wrong, for example when a source is unavailable ("Not checked"). Do not rely on them as the only basis for security or business decisions.

Acceptable use

Do not:

We may limit or block use that puts the service or other users at risk.

Plans, billing and refunds

Paid plans are sold through Gumroad:

Gumroad handles payment, receipts, cancellations and refunds. Refunds follow Gumroad's refund policy. You can cancel a membership in Gumroad at any time. Access continues until the end of the period you paid for, then the plan's features lock. If a purchase is refunded, charged back or disputed, or a membership payment fails, the license stops working.

Plan limits (number of domains and check frequency) are listed on the pricing page. Email alerts are not available yet; alerts are delivered in the dashboard feed and to webhooks.

White-label and lead capture

White-label features are checked in the visitor's browser and by our API against your Gumroad license. Your license key appears in your page source when you embed a white-label widget, so keep it to your own sites.

If you collect leads with the widget, you control that data. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to contact the people who submit the form, and for following anti-spam and privacy laws.

Availability

StackGrade runs on free-tier infrastructure (GitHub Pages and Cloudflare Workers) and is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Checks can be delayed or skipped, and features can change. We aim to give notice of material changes to paid plans.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, StackGrade's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for StackGrade in the 12 months before the claim. StackGrade is not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use StackGrade after a change means you accept the updated terms.
